• Developed and presented “Triple Space Computing” at various events.
I gained knowledge of Java Web Services and of “Triple Space Computing”,
an innovative communication and coordination framework for Semantic
Web Services.
2003-2004 The Royal College of Surgeons of England

Senior Web Developer for College Departments. Key achievements:
• Designed a Rooms Booking System in Python which has been successfully
launched and used across the College.
• Redesigned and developed a number of sites, including the College
Intranet site, with different levels of security.
I introduced the use of cost-effective technologies and development
procedures.
1999-2003 ELEXON Ltd - London (www.elexon.co.uk, www.elecpool.com)
Senior Web developer for a medium sized organisation providing daily
information to companies operating in the electricity industry. Key
achievements:
• Redesigned the company's public and extranet sites.
• Maintained a large number of Perl scripts for forms processing, document
listing, sorting, and download.
• Designed a database driven Intranet. This project won the “ELEXON
Improvement of the Year Award” in 2001.
• Written part of a content management system in Perl to enable non-technical
staff to update the Intranet website on a regular basis.
I enabled ELEXON to manage extranet projects, previously handled
by external suppliers, in-house. I also completed an M.Sc. in Electronic
Commerce Technologies, sponsored by the ELEXON company, part-time.

Three-month placement as a Website Designer in a fast growing medium
sized Internet company. Key achievements:
• Designed graphics and navigation menus for Fujitsu extranet website
• Tested web applications before they go live
• Created site maps and software documentation
